For one who tends to take Macro shots, or local wildlife such a theme prompt is a little challenging. However, I took part in Scott Kelby’s WorldwidePhotowalk on Saturday which was held in Kyneton, a nearby town so there were some opportunities to search for something BIG.
I chose this one – it is a huge stone grindstone from what was once a flour mill, chained outside the original bluestone building. The building is pretty much in its original state inside, even though it is now functioning as an restaurant serving tasty Indian food.
Taken with my 550D, and 17-85 mm lens.
Is it chained down to keep someone from stealing it?
Wonderful! These kind of things always start me think about how it was back then, when everybody had to think and do things to solve problems or just everyday things. No Google, huh? 😉
