Areas of Victoria are being devastated by plagues of locusts, but so far they do not seem to have reached here in huge numbers. I am not sure of the difference between locusts and grasshoppers, but there do seem to be more grasshoppers around this year in my garden, so I caught a few when I was cutting the grass the other day. Obviously difficult to photograph because they hop away when disturbed, I cooled mine in the fridge for 5 minutes, thinking it might slow them down…..it didn’t!
As usual, all taken with the Canon EOS550D, and 100mm macro lens. f5.6, 1/200 sec ISO 400
I have visions of grasshoppers, hopping around your dinner…!! Awesome photo’s as usual Sue, really good dof, I love that lens of yours, time I got a new one I think…
